Kyla Swart a 20 year old self-taught South African artist based in Johannesburg, currently studying film at AFDA.

She specializes in pen, watercolour, charcoal, pencil and copic markers, capturing movement and feeling as a moment of time. She owns a small art business where she does commissions for clients.

Kyla's inspiration stems largely from dancers and horses. They both embody movement, elegance, grace, line and form.

As a dancer, filmmaker and horse rider, she is fascinated by and drawn to one's ability to tell a story and evoke emotion through the living body.

Kyla aspires to capture the essence and beauty of a memory through her work.
